C.F.M's Re-visit to Zarkwok Community
Zarkwok Community was completely
burnt down by unknown gun men. In response to the challenges faced by the Community,
a team of Christian Faith Ministries’ staff paid the community a visit to see
how potable water can be restored to that community.
Even before the community was
attacked by unknown gunmen, potable water for drinking was one of the
community’s major challenges. And this was worsened by the attack. We felt very
disgusted at the color and the nature of water the community is uses as their
drinking water. One woman told CFM team that “despite the color of the water,
this still remains the water we drink as there is no alternative to this one”.
Mrs. Grace Aiso who witnessed the nature of the water attested to the fact that
such could be harmful to the body system.
The team took along with them water
pumping machine to help the community in dry season farming. The water pump machine was
received by the community leader amidst men and women who were laudably
cheering and clapping for the kind gesture from Christian Faith Ministries. The
community leader gave a dense appreciation followed by the women leader who
also prayed for Christian Faith Ministries while she was showing her
appreciation to the president of Christian Faith Ministries, Prof. & Rev. Mrs. Kent Hodge.
It was obvious that the people did
not only feel loved and cared for, but we could see hope, they had confidence that
people are somewhere thinking and praying for them. One of them said this; “what
you people have done could open door to many other good things to come”.
